Flashes on a Budget

Flashes can play a big role in photography, lighting subjects if its dark, providing highlights and fill lights when shooting portraits and even help freeze motion.
Flashes can be extremely helpful when shooting but if you are like me and want the same
effect without breaking your bank well there are super cheap flash solutions out there.
My favourite pick would be the Yongnuo 560 mark 2 (Yongnuo yn-560 ii) these flashes are just phenomenal for the price, they are all manual which isnt a huge problem but also offer a slave mode if you want to use them say on a light stand yet don't have any receivers to do so. They have a very similar shape to one of the canon speedlights im not sure which one but the yongnuo has most of the canons features, backlight, led screen, control over what lens you are using and power outage and even a power saving mode which is pretty cool.
The yn-560ii arent the newest flashes from yongnuo but are still pretty darn good but when paired with Yongnuo's rf-603c (Canon) or rf-603n (Nikon) they are the ultimate low budget flash kit. The rf-603 is a transceiver and runs on a 2.4ghz channel, the flash acts as both a receiver and a transmitter hence the name Transceiver, but when you think these ridiculously cheap transceivers couldnt do any more, they can act as a wireless shutter release when the main transceiver is plugged into the camera body itself.
The yn-560ii come in around $75 Au on ebay just depending where and who you buy them from and the rf-603 comes in around $35 again depending on who and where you buy them from.
The best place to pick up both these products would be Ebay or Amazon and remember there is a older brother of the yn-560ii its the first model and doesnt feature the lcd screen.
